How can he post a source when there isn't one. He obviously knows more than Dataquest and IDC <VBG>. I'd love to see an end to these unattributed statements. IMO the weakness in the top tier companies is due to the exit of momentum investors. The fundamentals look very strong with industry-wide growth projected at about 16% per annum and the market leaders substantially increasing market share at the expense of the second-tier players. There doesn't seem to be any evidence of price wars judging from CPQ's financials, and Meathead's post clearly shows that the fears of price-wars are rehashes of stuff we've seen for the past several years. What evidence do the nay-sayers have to support their positions???
