You greatly misunderstand this issue. This is not just congress voting on whether to give someone a commendation for some liberal cause. It is uprooting the biggest single segment of our economy and shoving it in the chipper only to be replaced by a system that has not been evaluated as to fiscal or functional consequences. You don't rip out 1/6 of the economy and replace it by some unknown government program. And while YOU may fall for it, 70% of Americans just aren't that stupid.
