Aside from extending insurance coverage to 8 million people who want it, can you name anything in the bill
besides its 1.1 trillion dollar price tag? What in the bill will benefit YOU?

Well, as you admitted, the CBO estimates can go both ways. Looks like they over-estimated the cost of Bush's Medicare program. Could it be that they've overestimated the cost of the Dem health plan? I don't think that is the case, but I'm just pointing out the inconsistencies in your posts.

You're changing the subject. I'm glad to discuss the Bush Part D plan. But there is ZERO percent chance of the Obama plan saving money. Not going to happen.

The Bush plan saved money because it was carefully crafted over an extended period of time to be fiscally responsible AND to increase competition through a heavy involvement of private enterprise.

The Obama bill makes no effort to save money, other than the carve-out out of MA (which they had to put back $30 Billion of to get support from FLA). They dump huge unfunded mandates on the states. They arbitrarily claim they'll save money from Medicare by methods unspecified. They close the donut hole in Part D (what made it fiscally responsible to begin with) and extend benefits. And at the same time they provide "free" medical coverage to millions of new beneficiaries.

ALL WHILE SAVING MONEY.

The claim is absurd on its face. I mean, even had they presented detailed explanations of how it works, it would be pretty much unbelievable. But they didn't. All they did was to say a bunch of shit.

CBO scored it, but said, "We don't actually think they can do it, but if they did, here's what it would amount to."
