No, seriously. For 1.1 trillion of your dollars, you think your premiums are going to go down? You think the government is going to somehow subsidize you with that 1.1 trillion? I didn't find that anywhere in what I read about it.

As to your point about the GOP, I have heard them offer a number of common sense proposals that were rejected by the ruling party. Any "healthcare reform" bill that doesn't contain tort reform, interstate competition and drug pricing reform isn't a reform bill at all. The fact that the ruling party has excluded the three most sensible ideas just proves it's a money and power grab, rather than any reform of the healthcare system.

I spend 6K more this year than last because of the Massachusetts universal health care bill. For the past two years I've been experiencing on the state level what you are about to experience on the national level.

>>> This bill is supposed to put the breaks on those out of control increases.

Where on earth did you get THAT idea? Oh, CBO? Let me tell you what CBO doesn't take into account.

When you dump millions of people onto Medicaid, which pays providers a FRACTION of what private insurance pays, who do you think is going to make up the difference? I'll answer: YOUR HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANY. It is called "cost-shifting" and it has been going on for years. Providers sure as hell can't take the hit; they're already getting blasted by the legislation.

Is your health insurance company going to take that sitting down? Hell no. They're going to increase premiums. They have no choice in the matter.

You really do not comprehend what is happening here.
