My buddy that lives on Lake Travis just shoots deer when they come on his yard from his house. It's probably illegal, but he's been doing it for years. He drags 'em into his garage and dresses them, puts the meat in his freezer.

And some use deer dogs. Neither is much of a hunt.

That would be strange - cougar and beer I can see why, but deer is a bit odd - it's not like the dogs would tree them and hold them until you caught up.

Not my idea of hunting - I'm generally happy to just get outside for a few days/hours.
