Yep!

Without a doubt the WORST recession since World War II.

(And, just a small factoid for the curious: in over 100 years of recorded American economic history, there has NEVER YET BEEN *any* recovery from recession that was LEAD by gains in employment.)

Always, always recovery in jobs has TRAILED the general recovery from recession.

That is what economists mean when they say that employment is a "lagging indicator".

And, in this particular recovery, I expect that recovery in single family housing values will even lag the recovery in jobs... (making the housing sector one of the *most lagging* of all indicators this time around).
