Ted--the Asian thing may get ugly. In a nutshell from what I heard on a radio program-- partly due to the opportunity for investors in HK to expand into mainland China, the highly inflated RE values in HK and the banks that hold the paper may tumble. Then it would be the IMF, Central Bank to bail out, i.e., lender of last resort. Definitely would cause another sell-off here.

Hi Ted, I think you might say Orwell is right on topic with the pervasiveness of technology. Hey big brother is even watching as we type this with the recent announcement that NASD is reading stock chats. The information age continues to impinge on the right to privacy. With the devaluation of computer technology thru deflation and the spread of the internet this will magnify many times.
