Get free Kindle books from Amazon here: Free Kindle Books

I wrote a post a few weeks back about where you can find over 1 million ebooks to download to your Kindle 2 and I had mentioned a couple of sites that you could find free ebooks. I’ve had some people email me about finding more free ebooks so I thought that I would dedicate this post to where you can find FREE ebooks for your Kindle. This is just the start of the list, as I find more and more sources of free ebooks, I’ll add them to this list so make sure you come back on a regular basis so you can find more free material for your Kindle 2 . Some of the links below are just free ebooks and may not necessarily be compatible with your Kindle but I’ll make sure to note the sources that are Kindle compatible.
Here’s the list (so far):

1. Amazon.com – What better place to start than right at Amazon .
2. freekindlebooks.org – this site offers thousands of free classic ebooks in Kindle compatible formats.
3. Project Gutenberg – over 100,000 ebook titles available.
4. Munsey’s – not as many ebooks available as the previous sites mentioned but still some good books in Kindle format.
5. Fictionwise – over 15,000 ebooks in Kindle format as of December 2007 so there’s probably even more now.
6. Manybooks.net – A large selection of ebooks and an easy to use site. Books are downloadable in many formats including Kindle, of course.
7. Feedbooks.com – Thousands of free ebooks available and you can publish and share your own content.
8. Kindlelibrary.net – only $8.95 per year for full, unlimited access to over 500,000 titles.
9. Webscriptions.net – a lot of free books here, many SciFi. Not as many freebies as the other sites mentioned but definitely worth checking out.
10. Baen.com – free and very inexpensive SciFi books for your Kindle. Thanks to Mike Bennett for the free Kindle book source.
11. Podiobooks.com – get “podcast versions” of serialized audiobooks for free.
12. 4,600 Public Domain Books – These books are available directly from Amazon.com
13. Freetechbooks.com – Great site for free tech books such as computer science, engineering and programming, textbooks and lecture notes.
14. RobertBurtonRobinson.com – 5 Free Mystery/Suspense books for your viewing pleasure.
15.Mobipocket.com – There is a nice selection from the free ebooks section of MobiPocket.
16.Flazx.com – Flazx has a nice selection of IT and computer books to choose from.
17.FreeTechBooks.com – Here is a nice assortment of computer programming books and textbooks.
18.Librivox.org – There are over 1,000 free audio versions of public domain books at Librivox.
19.WiredForBooks.org – Wired For Books has a lot of great interviews from some of the greatest writers of the 20th century.
20.Bookboon.com – Bookboon provides online textbooks for students in PDF format. They can be downloaded without registration. Thanks to Alessandra for finding this for us.
