I want the win, (not merely self-serving, but ultimately self-defeating STRUTTING on the political stage.) I want the ACTUALITY of a fallen (fallen for internal reasons a la the failure of the Soviets) Theocratic Dictatorship... not just rhetoric and posturing --- however good it might make us feel, and regardless of how well it might play on the domestic political stage. Anything that moves us further away from the Theocrat's Dictatorship collapsing is to be AVOIDED and RESISTED. Iran, (and American/Iranian relations in general) has been an open sore for 30 years or longer... so I want the WIN for Democracy, and not just some crass self-serving feel-good strutting.
