Agree about global recovery prospects, but the main driving force behind rising commodities. even the more exotic metals that you mention, is insatiable Chinese demand. How else explain today's Copper price level with U.S. and EEC demand sharply down.

I happen to think this China economic miracle has engendered dangerous speculation and will be dealt with by their authorities. They want to avoid a boom and bust.

I understand your viewpoint on Gold. Noticed today the US Dollar recovered all of its earlier losses.But the bleak outlook for dealing with our deficits keeps me on the fence. The new $3.7 billion dollar bailout of GMAC is a case in point.
