Is that the unlocked version? Reason so many phones are so cheap (or even given away) is that the service provider requires a 2 year contract. They lock you in on their service plan and recoup the cost of the phone that way. With an unlocked phone, you can go with whatever provider you want, so there is no incentive for them to subsidize the phone cost.

All that said, I when you can get a competent laptop with OS, good size hard drive and wireless capability for under $400, I have a hard time seeing why these phones cost $400.

My other concern is... they're small. Easy to lose, or drop. Not sure I want a $600 item that could fly from my hand at any time and self-destruct.
