What you don't seem to get, actually, NONE of you extreme right wing warmongers do, is that the ONLY way we're EVER going to end terrorism coming from a religious population of 1.2 billion people is to get THEM to do it.

Oh. So, now, ALL of Islam is at war with us. Damn, haven't you changed your tune.

The reality is that GWB WAS successful in stopping terrorist attacks in America, as I've previously pointed out today.

But what strikes me about your comment is that the biggest single thing GWB did, the Left has criticized him for, i.e., bringing democracy to Iraq. That's precisely how you do it.

You give these people an opportunity to see what freedom is about and to live in a free environment. The more freedom there is in the region, the less exposure the United States has to terrorism. And the more freedom there is, the more there will be (see: Iran).

In particular, the heart of Radical Islam's war on America is based on false precepts put forth by Qutb. I think it will be much more difficult for these extremists to choose war on the United States when they first have to deal with freedom from theocracy in their own homelands.

GWB had it right. We'll all be dead before that's acknowledged by anyone, I'm sure. But to those who understand the issues, I think it is becoming more apparent by the day.

>> Your "plan" and entire attitude just radicalizes MORE of them.

This remark reeks of ignorance.

The facts don't support your claim. Iranians have been fighting America in Iraq since '03. Now, suddenly, they look into Iraq and think, "shit, I want some of that democracy; however bad it is, it is better than we've got". So, now, they're trying to get it. When they kick out the current leadership, you kill off funding for major threats to the US (which you would deny even exist). Hopefully, they are able to make it happen.

You claimed that GTMO "radicalized" more of them, yet GWB was able to prevent terrorist attacks for nearly a decade, and under Obama we've had three here the first year after announcing the closing of GTMO. So, how's that working out?

Obama was certain he could contain Iran by talking nicely to them. We told you that was idiocy. Who was right? Even Obama has all but admitted it was a foolish error.

If you have an argument to support your claim, make it.

I totally disagree with your whole post except for this one:

We should make a HERO Muslim of the father.

Absolutely right.

I bet that besides doing the right thing this guy actually wanted to save his son from worse.

Now, due to the total security matters incompetency of the whole Obama administration, from top to bottom - yes, your hero is 100% responsible for this mess - worse is what happened to his son.
