We bought Kelsey a one-month Eurail pass that worked pretty well. When I was there, I just bought point to point tickets. Funny thing is, the Eurostar trains are the fancy-dancy, super fast trains, and they charge accordingly. I actually enjoyed the Regionali trains more. No reserved seating, and they stop at just about every little town, but they were very comfortable and substantially less expensive than the Eurostar trains.

I really wish we had a better rail system here in this country.

Happy New Year to all the GITs and your families. Hope 2010 is a much better one than 2009, which presented a lot of challenges to many of us.
