I think I understand what you're saying. Enjoy your "sound".

We're not so far into "sound" that we've worked on retrofitting the living room--wall stuff, right curtains, check the rugs, change the couches. I've been told it works but I'm simply not going to go that extent to make the sound better.

Good units, good cables, good cds and lps. That does it for us.
