While Shlomo Lahat was indeed re-elected as mayor of Tel Aviv in 1983, no record was found of any “Chairman Heilbrun.” The quote was traced to a 1988 book, The Hidden History of Zionism, by radical Marxist Ralph Schoenman (dismissed by mainstream historians as a crazed conspiracy theorist), and is one of many bogus quotes in the book attributed to Israeli leaders. According to Schoenman’s footnote, the quote by Heilbrun was hearsay relayed to him in private conversations: Cited by Fouzi El-Asmar and Salih Baransi during discussions with the author, October 1983 Needless to say, Schoenman’s scholarship, upon which many anti-Israel Web sites depend, leaves much wanting. I'm not going to respond to each of those links, except for where they clearly represent fraud and unsubstantiated propaganda. As for this Israeli woman, I echo her sentiments regarding Hamas and the mess the Palestinians created for themselves by electing them. I do NOT subscribe to the belief that they should just wipe Gaza clear.. But I can understand where her sentiments come from. youtube.com And if the Palestinians in Gaza don't get their act together and stop waging "Forever War", the razing of their cities is going to be what eventually occurs. But "Forever War" serves the purposes of such Israeli hardliners (like this woman apparently has become). So obviously the Palestinians will continue to be the puppets of their their Zionist puppet masters, right? Hawk

As someone who subscribes (as best I can) to the teachings of Christ I can find fault with both of those religions and their practitioners. And I can just as much fault in how Christianity has been distorted for the benefit of the power elite at any particular time in history. Hawk
