Okay let me say that I haven't seen any NC's but they are just around the corner. When a rewrite is necessary I would think the software developer would weight the positives against the negatives in their decision on what programming language to use.

From my point of view why wouldn't you program in Java to be prepaired for the future. The only negative that I have heard about Java is that large programs run slow but they are working on resolving the speed problem.

I said one solution to the problem not all the solutions. So please explain to me why a software developer would not look at Java to solve the Y2K problem.
