This isn't a done deal, and in spite of 10s of billions in bribes, it isn't a fraction of what he was going after, lacking a "public option" or even the 2nd runner up, "Medicare buy-in".

It is bad, no doubt. But it could have been a lot worse. And it isn't law and may not be.
