Did anyone watch PBS both NYE and NY Day Evening? We haven't done that in ages, but NYE was the NY Philharmonic Orchestra in the Lincoln Center….Gershwin, Cole Porter, Aaron Copeland arrangements etc….Really Was Excellent! Then the evening of the 1st we watched Julie Andrews in Vienna with the Vienna Philharmonic ….again, amazing evening, complete with ballet dancers dancing in the Antiquity Halls of Vienna Museum to the tunes of various composers…. We probably will never make those trips, so it was extra special, and with the closeups TV allows us, it was just splendid!
