Yes C2, it was a very good call. Unfortunately, my QCOM call, on which I actually had a big bet [not that I was trading] was wayyyyy off. $82.82 was the carefully calculated estimate, but $46 was the fact. That is a big gap.

So my humility is soaring.

But really, I didn't seriously think that QCOM would make it to $82.82. That was just a fun guess for the purposes of the Toaster International competition.

Here we are, 3 years into the decline from the housing peak and there hasn't really been a financial catastrophe other than for those who took ridiculous bets with borrowed money. Regular humans are for the most part doing just fine. Those who used their own money, showed up to work on time and did a good job in a non-luxury business, have no problem [other than small proportion]. Government spivs are likely to see tough times when they have to get real jobs with actual customers. Voters won't be voting for higher taxes to keep said spivs in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

I predicted gold 31 Dec 2008 to be $1,100 31 Dec 2009 and $1,400 31 Dec 2010 so there's a gamble to take. But it's not for me. I'm sticking with mobile cyberspace and QCOM $82.82.

Google, Apple and others are roaring into mobile cyberspace and every man and his dog will be wanting at least one device. Probably 3 or 4, including one with Mirasol screen for outdoor use.
