Y'know Trig.. I think it's not so much about "Capitalism", but "Corporatism". Those big banks are monopolistic, not competitive. They become "too big to fail" and they no longer provide competitive efficiencies.

Furthermore, they are becoming "supranational" in nature, devoid of any loyalty to the taxpayers of any particular country, except when they need a bailout.

I also believe that the gov't role is to ensure that the economic system serves the people, not the reverse. And I believe when the government (taxpayers) are asked to invest in our economy, it should be for the purpose of creating long-term shareholder (taxpayers) value.
