Is Medicare Constitutional? I doubt it.

You are probably right. Medicare is "an offer you can't refuse". The reform would change just about all of healthcare into such an "offer".

Every healthcare system on the planet somehow performs its function - and so will the Reid/Pelosi scheme. Doctors and nurses will show up at work, patients will come to see them, etc. Will probably work poorly, but it will work. Imo, the main objection is constitutional and political. It leads to more authoritarianism, to more socialism - which is not the American way.
