My layman's understanding of the STEMI ["ST segment elevation myocardial infarction,"] is that is shows up on the EKG. And you KNOW they did an EKG either on the way to, or first thing when he hit, the hospital.

The thing that exposed the overkill to me was Rush's statement that "the angiogram showed no heart disease." This means that when they got in there they found no plaque. And no narrowing of an artery. You KNOW they would have stented at ANY sign of a possible problem with him.
