Personally, I think MediaFLO was a good idea, but the implementation was bad, such as depending on the Verizon crowd who helped destroy Globalstar, and thinking that people would pay a fortune for a service they use a little.

Belatedly, they have cut the price. But they need to change it from a monthly charge to a prepaid service in which people pay for what they use.

They could reasonably have made it a free service since it's broadcast and any number of users can use it without costing the business anything. The handset charge should have been sufficient, with advertising sold too. The advertizing could be a small advertisement in the corner or such-like.

QCOM will rocket when they stop pouring it down the drain as fast as it comes in. It's starting to look as though they have "money is no object" syndrome. They need to get that under control. With booming 3G, there should be huge amounts of money left over.
