besides cash which is not a destination but a way-point, physical gold is the third largest allocation of all that i tally (#1 some real estate, #2 some other real estate, #3 physical gold, #4 physical platinum, #5 other real estate items, #6 paper gold at times, #7 gdx, etc etc), and so i am enthusiastic. each year i wish to engage with a good n largish trade of either paper gold and/or currency, to exact my due, else not happy, and so the path of gold/usd is as important as final price of gold.
