Tom,

That was too cheap. It wouldn't qualify me for free shipping even after buying a couple DVDs - Juno and Slumdog Millionaire; so I also bought the more expensive adapter: a Parallel port and a USB plug with a 10 inch cord in between which got me to $4 above the free shipping minimum.

So I got the cable and the DVDs for about $10 less than Future shop wanted for the cable alone; or about $10 more than The Source wanted for the cable.

And I'll conveniently forget that I paid about %30 more than the cable you found. After all, Free Shipping is important. ;-)

'The difference in cable prices between Amazon and retail outlets like Staples is often astounding. Laser toner cartridges as well.

Retailers are notorious for pushing monster cables at outrageous prices. These guys cut their own in house and the prices are right. They sell ink too.
