I think I could cut more than 50% of government budgets. Visiting any government department in any country shows similar things.

It's not often I see government processes in action and think what they are doing is a good thing well done.

The Millau bridge is pretty good and compared with what we are told we can get in NZ for the same amount of money, a bargain. I quite like Hubble too and perhaps the Hadron super-collider is a good thing [I have no idea really but it certainly beats another $100 billion on superfluous military hardware and $1 trillion on welfare].

Come to think of it, we could put a Millau Bridge over the Waitemata harbour with shorter columns.
