Dear Wiseowl...re how the Y2K problem will hurt not only Sun but Microsoft as well. To solve the problem will require a lot of money...overall the estimates for companies in the US have been place at anywhere's between 500 BILLION and even a TRILLION dollars. When companies are laying out tens, perhaps hundreds of millions to fix the problem in their systems they're NOT going to be buying any new equipment anytime soon...their budgets won't allow it...at least not for most companies. Some people think this is all hype and overblown. Perhaps it is. I hope so. But at least you should be aware of the potential risks. Regards...Harry.
