Good idea! We have stopped donating to Goodwill (all they do is turn around and sell stuff in their store). Our most recent donations have been to the YWCA shelter, which takes in abused women and their kids. These are people who are truly in need of clothing, toys, whatever. My feeling is I want to get anything I donate into the hands of someone who really needs it.

On New Year's eve, I went up to the local Albs. to pick up a few items. It was spitting freezing rain as I left. There was a guy standing by the exit to the parking lot with a sign that said "Please Help." I gave him $5 bucks. As I drove away I noticed he didn't have any gloves, so I looped around and gave him a pair of gloves I had in the car. Like I say, get the things into the hands of the people who really need them.
