This is one of the ignorant remarks that the Left is constantly coming up with. It is as though, without GWB's intervention, we wouldn't have seen bigger attacks over the last 8 years. It is an easy thing to sit back today and say, "Oh, 9/11 was a 'lucky hit'" as Z has said. But in January of '02, nobody was saying that. Pretty much everyone in the country was convinced that we would be struck again, and the evidence is that we would have. Even our very on CJ was saying Iraq was most likely involved at that time. It is all Monday-morning quarterbacking.

I'll bet the odds of that plane being flown into the World Trade Center is even less.... I suppose that wasn't a big deal in your mind either. There are much bigger problems. And there's no doubt that we should be doing things on an ongoing basis to deal with possibilities like that; but dropping bombs and killing tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of people while wasting trillions of dollars is not the way to do it. Keep in mind that more Americans have died in Iraq and Afghanistan than in the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. And for what? Well said.
