If corporate America begins to feel threatened by Obama, they'll turn on him as well.

There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that will make NBC/MSNBC turn against Obama. CBS, same deal. ABC, same. NYT same. (I honestly believe CNN is trying to take the middle ground now, because they bottomed out in their attempts on the Hard Left, and FNC continues to be by far the most balanced of all networks).
