Do tell. Is that anything like Hawk blaming the Arabs and Persians and Kurds for the massive invasion and occupation of their homelands by the great empire?

So now the West is to blame because the Ottomans occupied the Middle East for over 500 years?

And hell.. the Turks were fellow Muslims!!! They just conquered their "brethren" who had invaded the territory a few hundred years earlier.

So if you're going to bring hundreds of years of history into the equation, the only people who really have a claim on Palestine are the Jews (since the Canaanites and Philistines are long gone as nations).

It's THEIR HOMELAND they fought to recover after centuries of exile.

BC, in case you hadn't noticed, Osama and co destroyed my beloved Twin Towers and thousands of people in them, not to mention a good Kiwi bloke in another airliner. Osama was protected by Omar and his Taleban mates in Afghanistan.

Saddam was paying for terrorist attacks against Jews in Israel and Americans. Not to mention being generally annoying and not just to people in his own country. He ran things on a dog eat dog basis so he could hardly complain when somebody else wanted to take him on at that game [King George II].

So, quite reasonably, the USA decided to conquer those rulers and catch or kill the criminals responsible for the carnage.

Nor was it just "the empire". It was many other countries [including NZ in the case of Afghanistan though not Iraq which NZ decided didn't warrant invasion].

So no, it wasn't anything like that.
