To all,

H&Q's analyst Rob Chaplinsky just reduced his recommendation on Intel to Hold from Buy. His reason: the sharp growth of low-priced PCs, the so-called Segment 0 market. This sub-$1000 segment has grown from 23% of retail sales in May to over 40% in Sept. Intel sneezes and MU catches pnuemonia (sp?) ... these PCs use a lot cheaper processors than INTC is used to selling ... and they use less memory than the higher-priced models. Probably only a matter of time before this spills over into the corporate market.

regards Mike
