We could probably do without the studies of the sex lives of Argentine ants (okay, I made that up but there's probably really a study on it). We could also do without the U of MN program that teaches prospective teachers to renouce the "American dream". According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, College of Education officials recently established the “Race, Culture, Class and Gender Task Group.” Everything in academia with a name like "Race, Culture, Class, and Gender Task Group", Gender studies, Women's studies, etc etc etc could be defunded and we'd actually be better off.
