Another way to handle it would be to have the purchase button immediately follow the photo and then a link to access "The Story" Makes for a simpler view and at the same time allows someone to dig deeper for information if they want it.

I like your way better, agreeing that the story matters and adds to it, but need that purchase button up there. and think the other ideas coming up are worth exploring. and I agree about seeing them framed to give that feel of them.

I did some clicking through pics, and some really beautiful shots. wonderful eye. and the stories do add. I like that sort of thing.

the one with the Walden pond story, I would go with a frame that blended with a color drawn from the tan of island... but I have a tic for color coordination. :) my eye keeps going to the frame, away from pic, but I think I might be an oddity in that.
