You are kidding, right? we don't have a democracy now, we don't have capitalism now and we do have a fascist-lite (lite for now) corporate oligarchy. If all of those conditions represent the current situation in the US, then you're kind of making my point for me, aren't you?.. ;0) Right now we're seeing corporations running to the taxpayers for bailouts, but we're not seeing government paying as much attention to making sure their constituents are taken care of. Corporations don't have a vote in Democratic elections. They have rights as legally entities, but nothing like human beings. Somehow that realization has been lost in the current political policies.
