To get a clearer view of what running on your computer take a look at and download "Whats Running" It's a small program that I have used for years providing detailed information. For me, better information than Task Manager.

It won't create an icon. Where ever you unpacked it to is where to run it from.

Just go to where you loaded Process Explorer, right click, create shortcut and drag the icon to the desktop. Right click the desktop icon, click properties and rename the icon to "Process Explorer".

Lots of software doesn't create desktop icons.
