Good Morning, All

Love this thread, been lurkin in/out for almost a month, going long and up with CYMI. Interesting article in Nov 97 issue of Puget Sound Computer User (Free around the Seattle area).pg 11 from Newsbyte News Network about 4 democrats from HR Science and Commerce Committee are challenging DOE Sec.Pena to explain creation of a $250 mil cooperative (Extreme Ultraviolet Lithography Limited Liability Co-EUV LLC)which includes INTC,AMD,Motorola,Nikon and ASML and others to develope "a chip for the 21st century"-goes on to explain it as utilizing .25 micron tech and UV lith...they wonder who will really benefit from the cooperative and question bringing in "Nikon, a Japanese company currently the dominant stepper manufacturer and ASML,a Dutch stepper.. to develope the technology." DOE defended bringing in those partners as saying most of the manufacturing would be done in the United States. Looks like CYMI would be in the middle of all that having not stating their name.-Is that old news - miss out on hundreds of messages-
I think a little positive one.

Now back to my little corner
