Central planning by the government is either communism (or at least socialism) or fascism/corporatism depending on how its done. It has a record of failure and atrocity.


Only in your ideological fantasies. Every gov't does central planning. Deal with it!

Who do you want to do the planning? McDonald's? A strip joint?

Of the economy as a whole? No one. No one can efficiently plan an economy. The effort will at best be ineffectual and at worst be disastrous.


You better hope someone is doing some planning or we will be in a worse mess than in 2008.
