Thats sad to see. When I was using Drive Image, by Powerquest, tech support was absolutely amazing. Very short hold times on the phone and every question answered.

I never had any issues with Drive Image, just a bunch of questions.

Drive Image
en.wikipedia.org

Then Powerquest sold out to Symantec and turned it into a new improved version of Ghost. I tried it and did NOT like it one bit. Then I found True Image, which looked almost exactly as Drive Image. And worked 100% for me until this weekend when I got that error.

I went to the Acronis web site and other people had that error as well. Took be back a bit, now I am going to only restore if I have to, no more experiments.

Still have not figured out what caused that error, no bad clusters so I have no idea what went wrong. The image passed a validation check. I hope it's my hard drive. I have a email into Lenovo for a more in depth drive test. If it turns out to be the hard drive has bad sectors, then problem solved.
