Didn't the French segue soon after Law into their failed experiment with fiat currency? As you know, that experiment led to serious overprinting.

The episode [Law, then fiat overprinting] does present a rough historical parallel to what we are undergoing now.

I don't know about the Mississippi bubble, but I once read that the Tulipmania caused a 72 year bear market in Dutch markets. I don't have a source for that though.

I think it's safe to say we could have a prolonged downturn. Twenty one years now for Japan.
