Studies also show that MA has much higher admin costs, plus the insurance companies have to take their cut of profits...

Actually, MA admin costs (which include company profits) are pretty much in line with Medicare costs.

For example, an article in Medicare Advantage News found median MA admin costs at $37.30 PMPM. In '05, straight Medicare costs were at $37.75 PMPM.

As usual, if you have any evidence to the contrary, please present it.

It is a fact that MA was criticized for these costs being too high, but they are STILL less than straight Medicare. With MA plans being managed by private companies, everyone IN THE INDUSTRY obviously expects them to have lower admin costs, since health insurance companies operate so much more efficiently than government plans overall (even though the liberal talking points would have you believe otherwise).
