Special thanks to Nadine, for the reply.

After all, Jews were in that land before Arabs.
Of course, 2000 years ago where the Jews set up tent in other part of the world and call it home.

And Jews and Christians BOTH hold claims antecedent to Muslims with regard to the religious significance to the region.
Hmm, I wonder why 1.5 million Muslims believe that Jerusalem hold religious significance. They should talk to you and you should set them straight.

I would be far more willing to grant the Palestinians equal status were it evident that they originated from a nation/state that previous existed,
Regardless of what you think, they lived in the land before the European Jews' invasion.

or that their own leadership considered themselves to be more Palestinian than they do Arab "brothers".
Huh?

Palestinians do not consider themselves "unique", but part of the Arab nation. Here.. read it in their OWN CONSTITUTION:
Geez, what you are saying is that a New Yorker is a New Yorker not American. Or a Londoner calls him/herself a Londoner not English or European. I'll be damned. LOL

So they think of themselves as Arabs, not Palestinians.
Again, what you are saying is a Jew living in New Jersey can not call himself/herself an American, he/she can only call themselves Israelis? Right? Pray, tell us what your brother-in-law calls himself? Lebanese? Arab? Lebanese-Arab? Arab-American? Lebanese-American?

Kind of difficult to assert the Palestinians want their independence when they are actively working to surrender it again to other Arab states.
Jeezez, the Europeans have it all wrong. They should break up the European Union and never mention that Europe ever existed.

Why not just let some other Arab state annex them?
I have a better idea, what don't we allow the Arabs to unite.
