Well I'm surprised you don't see the difference between conspiracies and out and out hate speak. There is a difference. We have words so that we can distinguish between shades of meanings. That two things may spring from the same source- doesn't make them the same thing.

Most "negative" behavior- hate/fear/suspicion or what have you- spring from a fear of "the other". So let's just say it all springs from "fear of otherness". But then you have a mish mash. IMO it's always a good idea to be more specific. I don't know why you would be surprised that I am interested in labeling things as specifically as possible. I'm not saying conspiracy theories are "good" (I can't stand them, and I've always said so)- but they are not the same thing as saying "Let's put all the _______ (insert group you hate) in a camp" or "__________ (insert hated group) are all traitors". There's a difference, and I'm surprised you are surprised that someone might say "Hey- those two things are different."

Do I care you don't think they are different? No, not really.
