This was my first wine/food tasting/food pairing. It was a lot of fun and several folks at my table were pretty savvy.

RE: the wines:

The prosecco was good but at $20...twice most proseccos I know.

I liked the Cono Sur Sustainable Sauvignon Blanc...could smell the citrus and taste was great. At $13, I'm buying some.

The Cab Sauvignon started out great but faded a bit (as the maven next to me said) but he thought it was a good buy at $13.

The Riesling was not as good others I've had but, by the 4th wine, even though only partially filled glasses, I was not in a great position to judge too well.

They are going to have pinot noir dinner next month; will report back. These aren't publicized, I just ended up on the right email list. I really liked the Beef Wellington also, great flavor. I though of this thread and wondered what you would al think of the food/wines.
