>> I believe a lot of the opposition to health care reform is due to the Rs screaming louder.

By hiding the process on health care they are creating trouble for themselves.

The Rs are going for the jugular on these Obama lies about putting it all on C-SPAN. Pelosi & Reid and going to try to ram it through quickly, but I'm not sure it is going to be that easy.

The Rs have mostly written it off as unstoppable. I just don't think that is necessarily correct. I am pleased to see Nelson and Lincoln starting to feel the pressure today. I don't know about Nelson but I *DO* know someone in Lincoln's office and I can tell you the heat there is considerable - not only from Arkansans, I might add.

Absolutely it is. They've said that health care reform is tantamount to death panels and communism. Hell, they've convinced the average American that to care for our sick is anti-American. That's damn good PR. They are running their propaganda campaign almost as effectively as Hitler did in Nazi Germany.

If the GOP decided they wanted everyone to believe that up is down, they'd probably make that happen too. That's message discipline. The Dems don't have it and they'd better get it fast if they want to compete, because the GOP isn't interested in solving this country's problems. They are interested in obstruction to any progress that the population may give credit to Dems for. The GOP is only interested in regaining power. So the Dems are going to have to govern and solve problems, but also fight back like hell against the stupidity that the GOP is spouting on a daily basis.
