>> Someone said last nite that the gov't needs to get honest about terrorism and admit that no entity can prevent terrorism 100% and that sh*t will happen. Maybe if the gov't did get honest, then we wouldn't have these hysterical reactions to every terrorist plot that is uncovered or every terrorist event that is successful.

The reason people are reacting is that under GWB, the government DID prevent terrorism 100% after 9/11. And under Obama, it has become a routine occurrence. Coincidentally, Obama's administration has taken measures that clearly make him soft on terrorism.

So, you have the fact we've gone from zero to 1 incident a quarter or thereabouts, PLUS the fact that Obama has mishandled so much of the job as it pertains to keeping the country safe. He has literally taken us back to pre-9/11 precepts that are known to have been at the core of 9/11 having succeeded.

The policy thus far when it comes to terrorism has been nothing short of gross incompetence. While his fake anger may make him look more credible today, the reality is that as long as he is turning the job over to criminal justice rather than the military, he's not going to solve the problem.

We're an open country with millions of vulnerabilities. It's inevitable that we'll be attacked again. The RW bedwetters will go nuts, but, it's what they do.
