>> That's because the problem is considerably more complex than your typically simple minded characterization... Do you think that 10% of the population sits on their hands simply because uncle sam pays them a misery unemployment sustenance ?

Of course not, but I know, not merely "think", that unemployment insurance as currently structured provides an incentive for people not to work. Not for EVERYONE, of course, but a substantial portion of the people drawing benefits.

Some people have great work ethics and would not accept unemployment under any circumstances (as a self employed person, I've been paying unemployment taxes on my wife and me for 30 years; never would I consider drawing unemployment. It just WOULD NOT HAPPEN. I'd get off my ass and make some money, and if that meant flipping burgers, I've done it before and could do it again).

Remember, Dave is from Arkansas. Maybe that's how Arkansans live.

Of course. And in the last couple of years, 6% more of Americans became lazy.

Didn't you know......Americans hate working....esp. the ones of color. Best to keep a whip.....I mean their noses to the grindstone.
