Much like the Peter Sellers film "Being There" events happened in spite of him.

But, of course, this doesn't apply to the creation of Islamic Militancy and Al Qaida, or any of the other revolutionary movements that have transpired over the past 100 years, does it??

Lots of people cynically believe our CIA is behind so many human tragedies that have transpired when often we're just the tail wagging the dog.

But we'll eventually catch the heat when they become major problems. Because, as the world's only superpower, it's easy to blame the US for either using our power to meddle in other people's business. But when we ignore these problems, such as Rwanda or Darfur, we get blamed for NOT having used our power to meddle.

Furthermore, we often take the blame for events that have been influenced and financed by other rival powers. But no one wants to mention the meddling of those other governments in creating human tragedy.
