I don't care if I lose friendships, This is the first time in my life that I'm losing long time friends because I am expressing myself and criticizing Obama, the administration and congress. The comment I get most is "You're listening too much to those right wing nuts on Fox," or something close to it. Then they demur and ask to change the subject - politics, religion and sex thing. It's also pretty shocking how willfully uninformed most of them are. "I hate politics." Most don't realize what's going on and try to change the subject as quickly as they can. They don't want to know.
