Not really. I've studied the politics and economics of the Star Trek and Star Wars universes. ;-)

Lots of stuff in sci-fi that left-wingers go ga-ga over. In Star Trek, for example, the Federation doesn't use money. And in Star Wars Episode III, there is that not-so-subtle jab at George W. Bush:
